The students of the institution take part actively and successfully in the programs organized by Government and local authorities.
In all respects, considering over all activities the institution is one of the best in Sylhet division as well as all over Bangladesh.

"Chhatak Govt. Bohumukhi Model High School" is one of the most renowned school is situated at the center og chhatak in sunamganj district.this ancient school was establish in 1941 then it was named "chhatak High English School". The School got its 1st recognition from kolkata university at the date of 3rd july, 1944.
From the survey it is seen that there was no high school in chhatak upazila before 1941.The great hematurian named S.D,O. Mr. Sayed Mortoza ali took the first step to establish : chhatak High English School " in 1941. From That time this school has earned it's name and fale till now. Now it is nown as " chhatak Govt. Bohumukhi /model High School" some eminent person who donated land and money for for the School among them Hazi Abul Mohsin, Hazi Abdul Kabir, Sujon Mia Chowdhury, Hazi Aroz Miah Chowdhury, Hazi Modrich Chowdhury, Mohantho Das etc ware remarkable.
